K-1 - Ichigeki Kyokushin vs K-1 All Out Battle Tokyo (2004)

Kyokushin vs K-1 2004 All Out Battle was a martial arts event promoted by the K-1 organization. The event was held at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, Japan on Sunday, May 30, 2004. It was a showcase event featuring seven ’Super Fights’ between some of the world’s top Kyokushin karate fighters and K-1 fighters, with all bouts fought under Ichigeki Kick Rules. As well as Kyokushin vs K-1 bouts there were also a six other ’Super Fights’ involving karate fighters, with all bouts fought under Ichigeki Kick Rules. In total there were twenty-six fighters at the event, representing ten countries.

By the end of the Kyokushin vs K-1 Super Fights, Kyokushin came out on top with a seven to nil whitewash over the K-1 fighters. The event was also notable for being Francisco Filho’s last ever K-1 event, with him beating the reigning K-1 World Grand Prix champion Remy Bonjasky by third round unanimous decision.
